Post Surgery Care

After your procedure, you will be transferred over to our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). You will stay and be monitored in this area while you recover from your anesthesia. The amount of time a patient stays in our recovery room depends on each individual and the surgery performed. Most patients are discharged within 30 minutes. Light refreshments will be provided to you to make sure you are able to tolerate food and fluids before your discharge.

You are required to have a family member or friend drive you home upon discharge and encouraged to have an adult remain with you for up to 24 hours after your procedure.

Our medical staff will call you the following day to make sure you are recovering well and answer any questions that may arise.
